9/24 New Hanover County Big Sweep ~ Volunteer needed to help reduce the amount of litter that becomes marine debris during Big Sweep, an annual cleanup of our waterways. Big Sweep convenes at 9am in Wrightsville Beach at the Gazebo at Johnnie Mercer’s Pier, in Carolina Beach at the Boardwalk Gazebo, in Kure Beach at the Pier, and at Greenfield Lake’s Boathouse. Refreshments and bags will be provided.
